Remote working and (in)security
“There is no one-size-fits-all approach to employee wellbeing through remote working.”
Summary
- Seven key themes emerge: cyber security, risk management, video conference effect on security, culture and wellbeing, onboarding challenges, leadership style, employees support and anxiety upon returning to offices.
- Government and NCSC could benefit from the findings by generating secure remote working guidelines and future working policies. In addition, organizations gain insights into employee perspectives regarding culture, wellbeing, and cyber-security practices.
- Future research should focus on return-to-office strategies, cross-cultural comparisons and involve junior-level employees as their opinions are valuable but often unheard of.
